Getting started
Request an HPC@PoliTO account
HPC@PoliTO services are available for PoliTO's master students (only to work on their master thesis), classes, student teams, researchers and their collaborators. To access our high performance computing infrastructure you should first of all request an account:- Go to our home and click on the type of account you want to activate. This will open up a new message on your e-mail client.
- Fill in the requested informations.
- Send us the form via e-mail at hpc@polito.it. If you are a master student add your supervisor in cc to the e-mail.
Request a PoliTO VPN
The HPC@PoliTO infrastructure is only available from the internal PoliTO network; if you want to connect from PoliTO's wifi or from your home you should request a VPN:- Send an e-email to 5050@polito.it and ask them to activate a VPN account for HPC access. If you are a master student ask your supervisor to request a VPN on your behalf.
- They will ask you to fill a form. The form will ask to indicate IP addresses and ports of the services you want to reach. Just write "HPC" instead of the IP address and no ports whatsoever.
- After your VPN account is active you can connect to HPC@PoliTo services from everywhere.
